Awhile ago I participated in an online video discussion about the economy and the recession called Purple States that included one person from every state. They were to give their advice to the new president. I was asked to represent Utah. As we video taped ourselves talking about these issues, one of the questions they wanted us to answer was about immigration. Although I don’t have strong issues either for or against immigration my main thought on topic is, obey the law.

As today is immigration day, being postponed from its original day, there is a new video from Purple States that highlights each persons response to the immigration issue. Unfortunately, I wasn’t highlighted, probably since I didn’t have strong opinions either way, but it is very interesting to hear everyone’s view. Check it out and let us know what you think.

One of my goals this year is to gain a better understanding of user experience online. With my searching for good content, I came across the Gel Conference website.

What is Gel?

Gel (“Good Experience Live”) is a conference and community exploring good experience in all its forms — in business, art, society, technology, and life.

The 2009 conference is coming up but they are also posting videos to the previous conferences speakers. This is a great resource to learn about “good experience” in all forms of life.

I was recently contacted by a group called Purple States about sharing some of my thoughts on the economy and how the recession has affected my life. They asked me to create a video with me talking about my thoughts and some of the images that are associated with the things I talked about. Even though I’m a little embarrassed by it, here is the results.
